Riverware Stoneware Pottery

I work hard to create forms that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I believe that a good pot wants to be held. My work features rich colors highlighted by slip carved designs, inspired by my personal relationship with the natural world and created with native clay that I dig from the banks of Vermont rivers.

I discovered ceramics while attending school in Monterey, California. In 1977, I returned to my native state of Vermont, rented space in a pottery studio and went to work. Today, I am a studio potter as well as teacher and manager of the Bristol Clay Studio.
