Erin McIntyre

I am a jewelry and fine artist living in beautiful Burlington, Vermont.  Originally from Northern Virginia, I have put down roots in the Green Mountain State for the past 30 years!

My love for art began as a child growing up with an architect and a painter for parents, as well as artistic grandparents. I was always creating and making things with my hands as a little girl, using an old door that my father set up as a crafting table.  It was my place to imagine and create. I explored the rocks, beaches, fields and farms to gain an appreciation for nature during summers along Lake Champlain.  All of these experiences led me to where I am today.

My previous focus in art was landscape painting. Years later, after trying jewelry crafting, I haven't looked back!  I now make wearable art out of sterling silver, brass, flame-painted copper and gold-filled materials.  The process of turning a piece of metal into art is very satisfying and filled with endless possibilities.  I'm inspired from the natural world around me, using floral motifs and finding unique gemstones and pearls to add to my work. I am also fascinated with the history of jewelry design and intricate patterns found around the world.

Enjoy exploring my work as you stroll through the gallery at Art on Main!
