Landscape & Wildlife Paintings
I grew up in Bridgewater, Vermont, where I spent much of my time in constant watch of the wildlife and weather that make up the rugged landscape. My oil paintings are detailed reflections of my love of nature. I enjoy creating something beautiful from nothing. A blank canvas and raw wood show so much possibility! I am somewhat obsessed with detail; When other artists stop layering their paintings, that is when I feel like the piece has just begun! I enjoy watching the painting come alive with each successive layer of paint, until the final product is truly complete!
I have an environmental science background and hope to contribute to creating a better future for wildlife through my art. I donate a portion of my art sales to conservation organizations such as the Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife, the Endangered Wildlife Trust, The Peregrine Fund and the Born Free Foundation. I use eco-friendly materials whenever possible, including water mixable oil paints, mediums and cleaners, eco varnishes, artisan bamboo paper prints, and recycled paper cards. I craft my frames in my solar powered workshop from rescued live-edge slab wood - which serves as an extension of my art, rather than solely a housing.

I live and work in a log home on forested family land in Bridgewater, Vermont with my husband, two children and pets. My down time is often spent hiking, running, creating and spending time with my loved ones - ideally outside!
