         NAME THE DEER!

Name the Deer Winner_edited.jpg

And the winner is….Tyler Day of Middlebury with “Leonardo Deer Vinci”! Congratulations, Tyler! We love the name! We will call him Leo for short!

Tyler had many clever suggestions for the deer including Salvadeer Dali, Rembrandtler, Stagson Pollack and Bambi Warhol. Tyler says he was inspired for his art-related ideas for the Deer Name because, being a Dad of two elementary school boys, he likes to be "punny".

We had almost 100 names submitted to the contest! Some other great suggestions were Deer John, Cliff, The Main Deer, Arturo (Art for short), Art I. Deer, Bruce Bucky, Buck-A-Roo, Arty, Spike and Deerleaper.

Many thanks to all who took part! This was fun! Be sure to come by to say hi to "Leo" in 2024!

Get together with friends, have a great meal, and support Art on Main at the Bobcat Cafe in Bristol!

This event has been cancelled.
We are sorry to let you know that because of the stormy weather forecast for next Sunday, we have had to make the painful decision to cancel this event. Ticket buyers will be refunded.

We hope you will join us next summer when this labyrinth and garden will be part of a multi-garden tour for Art on Main. Stay tuned!

Art on Main takes art outdoors for a special afternoon devoted to the new stone path labyrinth recently completed on the beautiful Bristol property of photographer Anne Majusiak and her husband, Ken Johnson of A. Johnson Co.  The Labyrinth was created for walking meditation and installed by Farrell-Lea Landscaping, transforming an established circle garden of flowers and vegetables into a meditative and ritual space.

Long intrigued by labyrinths and other sacred sites, Anne seeks them out and photographs them wherever she travels, primarily in the British Isles.  This event will open with a talk by Anne about her journey of creation that will be followed by a blessing of the labyrinth, after which guests will be invited to take their own walk in the labyrinth. Guests can also roam the gardens created over a 35-year period by Anne and Ken.

Light refreshments will be served -- Spoonful Herbal’s hand-crafted Mocktails featuring locally grown or wild-crafted medicinal plants and edible flowers along with seasonal bites from Lucky Star Catering. Celtic harp by Bo Price will add to the magic of the afternoon.

A selection of Anne’s sacred site photographs of labyrinths, stone circles and standing stones will be for sale and there will be small silent auction of relevant wares for all to bid on.

Tickets are limited.  Purchase in advance at Art on Main, 25 Main Street Bristol, by calling the gallery at 802-453-4032 or online at artonmainvt.com.
